Top-quality Finishes

Aluminium is a strong yet lightweight material, which makes it ideal for gates. While it’s secure and will maintain its structure and shape, it’s not too heavy and won’t weigh down your fence or gate pillars. We take into consideration all your requirements when helping you find your perfect gate, such as height, width and spacing of panels to ensure security and safety for pets and children.

All our aluminium gates have a high-quality powder coating finish which is heat-cured, so won’t chip or fade easily. You can choose a powder coating finish in whatever colour you want. Frequently Asked Questions

  • What types of gates are available for residential properties?

Residential properties can be fitted with a variety of gate types, depending on their purpose, layout, and aesthetic preferences. Common styles include swing gates, sliding gates, pedestrian gates, and automated gates.

Swing gates are hinged and open inward or outward like a door. They’re suitable for driveways with enough clearance space and are typically made from timber, aluminium, steel, or wrought iron.

Sliding gates are ideal for properties with limited space. These gates run along a track parallel to the fence line, making them practical for sloped driveways or narrow frontages.

Pedestrian gates offer easy access for foot traffic and are often paired with intercom or keyless entry systems.

Automated gates—which can be either swing or sliding—enhance convenience and security by allowing remote operation via a keypad, smartphone, or remote control.

Material choice, design, and security needs all influence the best option for a home.

  • Are aluminium gates better than steel or timber gates?

Aluminium gates are a popular alternative to steel and timber due to their lightweight, rust-resistant, and low-maintenance properties.

Compared to steel, aluminium doesn’t rust, which makes it especially suitable for coastal or high-humidity environments. While steel is stronger and heavier, aluminium gates can still offer excellent durability, especially when reinforced and professionally fabricated. Powder coating also protects aluminium from fading, corrosion, and scratches.

When compared to timber, aluminium gates last longer and require less upkeep. Timber gates may look warmer and more traditional, but they are prone to warping, rotting, and termite damage if not maintained properly. Aluminium can also be powder-coated or textured to mimic the appearance of timber while providing the durability of metal.

In most cases, aluminium offers a balanced solution for strength, longevity, and visual appeal—especially for homeowners looking for minimal upkeep over time.

  • How much space do I need for a driveway gate?

The amount of space needed for a driveway gate depends on the type of gate being installed.

Swing gates require ample room to open inward or outward. Each leaf (if double gates are used) needs a clear area equal to its width. For example, a 3-metre wide gate would need approximately 3 metres of clearance in the direction it opens.

Sliding gates, on the other hand, need space along the fence line to slide open. The gate panel must be long enough to cover the driveway width and still have room to slide fully out of the way—this typically means a clear run-off area at least as long as the gate itself.

Keep in mind that obstructions like trees, garden beds, or sloping ground can impact installation. Property layout and gradient should always be assessed before choosing a gate style.
